Red ArrowWomen's Volleyball Suffers Heartbreaking Loss To Golden West College

(Walnut, CA) The Mt. SAC Women's Volleyball Team played their hearts outs against a much improved Golden West College Team, but in the end, the Rustlers came out ahead, 3-1 (21-25, 25-23, 21-25, 20-25), to end the Mounties Season in the 2nd Round of the play-offs. 2011 was a phenomenal season for the Mounties who finished with a 20-4 record, the first 20 win season in the history of the Mt. SAC Women's Volleyball Program. Congratulations to Head Coach Maria Dennis, the 2011 South Coast Conference Women's Volleyball Coach of the Year, her staff and players for an outstanding 2011 campaign.

Historic Weekend Of Championship Play-Offs Awaits The Mounties

(Walnut, CA) For the first time in Mt. SAC History, the Mounties will be hosting 3 play-off championships in ONE DAY! Where else can you witness a Sweet Sixteen, Elite Eight and Final Four Play-Off Game, on one day and at one campus? Many thanks to those who helpd "Pack The Stands" at last nights Men's Soccer and Women's Volleyball Play-Off Games. Your support helped the Mounties advance and continue their quest for the state championships!

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL - Second round play-offs - SWEET SIXTEEN ROUND
The #4 Seeded Mounties (20-4) defeated #13 seed Fullerton College (14-7) last night, 3-1. The Mounties will now face Golden West College (#5 seed) at home on Saturday, November 26th at 7:00 pm. This is the first time in college history that the Mounties will be hosting a second round (Sweet Sixteen) play-off game. Golden West defeated 12th seed College of the Canyons, 3-0, to advance. Come Out And Support The Mounties In The First Round Of Play-Offs

November 21, 2011

(Walnut, CA) The Mounties (19-4) are the #4 seed for the Southern California Play-Offs and will take on #13 seed Fullerton College (14-7) on Tuesday, November 22nd at 7:00 pm here at Mt. SAC in the Gym (Building 3). If the Mounties can defeat Fullerton, they will host the winner of the Golden West (#5 seed) versus College of the Canyons (#12 seed) game at 7:00 pm in the Gym (Building 3). The Mounties finished one the best regular seasons in college history as the South Coast Conference Runner-Ups. Congratulations to Head Coach Maria Dennis, who was named the 2011 South Coast Conference Women's Volleyball Coach of the Year. arrowWomen's Volleyball Advances To The Playoffs

The Mt. SAC Women's Volleyball Team (16-8 record) received the number 14 seed and will face conference rival, El Camino College in the first round of the State Championship Playoffs at El Camino College on Tuesday, November 23rd at 6:00 pm. This season the Mounties have had a tough time with the Warriors who have defeated the Mounties both times 1 to 3.

The Mt. SAC Women's Volleyball Team placed 4 women on the 2010 All-South Coast Conference Women's Volleyball Team.
Freshman Utility Player, Erica Chavez and Sophomore Libero, Lura Lewis were named to the All-Conference First Team. Sophomre Outside Hitter, Rachel Anderson and Freshman Middle Blocker,Caitlin Dalley were named to the second team.
