Records Fall at the South Coast Conference 5-Way Meet
Two historic records were broken today at the South Coast Conference 5-Way Meet held at Mt. SAC. For the first time in 12 years, the Mt. SAC Men's Track and Field Team suffered it's first conference loss. El Camino College defeated the Mighty Mounties 197 to 177 with strong all around performances. "It was a record that had to be broken someday," replied Head Coach, Doug Todd. "Our men gave it everything they had, but in the end El Camino was the stronger team."
The other historic record broken today was an 11 year old Mt. SAC record in the Women's Pole Vault, which is now held by Megan Hill. Hill who maintains a 3.7+ GPA and is a mere 4 foot, 11 and 3/4 inch sophomore, vaulted 11 feet, 9 inches to capture the record and meet title. Click here for complete results.
