Coach Stacy Parker begins his 7th season as the Head Baseball Coach of the Mounties.  Parker joined the Mt. SAC family in 2001 and has brought new excitement to the Mounties baseball program.

In 2004, he led the Mounties to the postseason for the first time in five years with a 22-14 record.  That season the Mounties were ranked in the top 15 in Southern California for a majority of the season.  The 2005 Mounties improved upon that success with a record of 25-13, finishing second in the South Coast Conference.  The team returned to post season play for the second consecutive year and was ranked as high as 5th in the Southern California rankings.

Coach Parker’s resume includes over 10 years of collegiate coaching experience at both the Division I and community college levels.  Prior to his arrival at Mt. SAC, Coach Parker was the Head Coach at Irvine Valley College (’00-‘01), where he was instrumental in starting that program.  He has also  served as an  assistant coach at San Diego State (’97-‘99) and Orange Coast College (’92-‘97).

Coach Parker’s background includes a trip to the California Community College Final Four in 1992 and two seasons as the head coach of the Alaska Goldpanners (’95 & ’96).  During his time in Alaska, he received Coach of the Year honors leading the Goldpanners to a 32-19 finish.  He has worked with numerous stars of the sport including Adam Kennedy (Anaheim Angels), Mike Young (Texas Rangers), and Jason Lane (Houston Astros).

Coach Parker played baseball at UC Irvine where he received his B.A. Degree (Social Sciences).  After a four year professional playing career with the Texas Rangers and Philadelphia Phillies, he earned his Masters of Education (emphasis on Physical Education) degree from Azusa Pacific University.  Coach Parker and his wife Stacy Kirch reside in Tustin with their two sons Thomas and Drew, and their puppy, Buster, a cocker spaniel.
