Marc Ruh begins his 15th season at the helm of the Mt. SAC Men's Swimming and Water Polo team. Since arriving at Mt. SAC, he has turned around a struggling program and has lead the overall program to 3 USA Water Fitness Association Awards as the top Community College Aquatics Program in the Nation.

Since arriving at Mt. SAC, Ruh has led the Mt. SAC Teams to 2 Swimming and 1 Water Polo Conference Championship. He has helped 127 individuals earn 462 swimming and diving All-American Honors and 40 individuals earn All-American Water Polo Honors.

Prior to arriving at Mt. SAC, Ruh served as the Head Water Polo and Swimming Coach at Walnut High School. He taught and coached at Walnut High School from 1989 to 1994, earning four Women's and 2 Men's CIF Swimming Championships in his 5 years.

Ruh was a High School All-American while at Walnut High School and also competed in Water Polo, Cross Country and Track and Field. He later competed in Swimming and Water Polo for Mt. SAC before moving on to UC Santa Barbara where he was member of the Water Polo Team that placed 4th at the NCAA Division 1 Championships.

Ruh is active in the Swimming and Water Polo Community serving as an executive member of both the State Water Polo Coaches Association and South Coast Conference. He has also served as the US Assistant Water Polo Coach for the 2003 World University Games, US Head Water Polo Coach and for the 2005 Deaf Olympic Games.

Ruh graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara and received his Masters Degree in Education with an emphasis in Physical Education from Azusa Pacific University.

Coach Ruh is the son of legendary and long time Mt. SAC Track and Field Coach, Don Ruh. Ruh a lifelong Walnut Resident and his wife Lani, reside in Walnut with their children Campbell and Riley.
