Coach Mike Goff enters his 13th year as Head Coach of the Mt. San Antonio College Men's Cross Country and Women’s Track & Field Teams.  Under his guidance the Men’s Cross Country team has captured six South Coast Conference Championships and placed in the state championships, second 3 times and in the top five, 5 times.  Goff has been honored as the South Coast Conference “Coach of the Year” six of the last 11 cross country seasons. 

The Women's Track and Field Team has been one of the most dominant teams in state history.  Goff lead teams have captured the State Championship 3 consecutive times (state record), placed second 4 times and placed third twice.  The women's team also captured 8 consecutive South Coast Conference Championships (undefeated for 8 seasons) and 9 Southern California Championships.  Goff has been named South Coast Conference "Coach of the Year" seven times and the California State Community College Track and Field Coaches Association "Coach of the Year" in 2000.

Goff began his career at El Rancho High School where for 9 years he served as the Head Coach of the Boy’s and Girl’s Cross Country (72-11) and Track & Field (49-7) Teams.  He later went on to lead the Ayala High School Cross Country (134-32) and Track and Field (70-6) Teams for 7 years, winning the CIF Championship in 1993.  His Boy’s Track & Field Team captured the League Championships 5 times in the schools first 6 years, while the Girl’s Track and Field Team captured 4 undefeated league titles in the same span.

Goff has worked with many outstanding athletes throughout his career at Mt. SAC.  Many of his runners have gone on to successful careers at the 4 year level including including 5,000 and 10.000 meter school record holder, Daniel Rojas (Cal Poly Pomona), Ozzie Pina (UC Berkeley) and Chris Huddleston (USC).

Goff currently serves as the Mt. SAC Physical Education Department Chairperson and is actively involved in all of the Mt. SAC Track and Field/Cross Country Special Events serving as the lead "Grunt Guy".

Goff and wife Marion reside in Diamond Bar with their two children, Natasha and Cody.  In his free time, he enjoys traveling to Hawaii, snorkeling and cooking.
